Get Busy doing the Write Thing!

"Doesn't it drive you nuts? You'd like to relax in the gorgeous Buffalo summer but your conscience says you have to do something to protest the casino madness.

Here's what you can do. Right now the city seems inclined to give Fulton Street away so that the end result will be bigger and better and, yes, siphon more money out of town. But the City Council will have to ratify the motion and it will take only four Council Members to stop that from happening.

Citizen for a Better Buffalo, write quickly to Council Members Golombek (North,) Russell (Universty) and Thompson (Masten). Tell them, nicely, what you think about this sordid, sorry business. I'd write the letter for you but then they might think you lack originality. (If you're stuck for ideas you could start by asking them whether they would like to see their own kids wander off into the casino without permission! You could ask them whether they think they have any integrity at all.)
